The New Age (February 22, 2005) As is well known, we are entering a new age. The age of Aquarius is streaming into manifestation...and the age of Pisces is passing out of power. The process takes time and that is a good thing - the changes are and will be momentous! Humanity would probably destroy itself if the change happened any faster! It is easy to say we are entering a new age. But what does that mean? Let's go back to the last change of this nature for a moment. It took place 2000 years ago. At that time our planetary system entered the age of Pisces and a new religion began based on the revelatory events and information brought to us by Christ - the divine quality of love was revealed to us. It is no accident the Christian faith uses the fish symbol - it is the symbol of the astrological sign Pisces. If we go backwards in the Bible we will note other astrological symbols - the ram (Aries) - the calf (Taurus). These were the ages proceeding the age of Pisces. Life is progressing forward and change is in the stars. During the changing of the age 2000 years ago the Jew failed to recognize the Messiah - failed to recognize the changing of the times and so did not move forward into the new era. Even today the Jew clings to the old testament, and to the ages that have passed on. Still, after all these centuries, there is an attempt to isolate and wall off the rest of the world. These points are being raised to pose a question, not to focus attention on the plight of the Jew. The big question is this - will those who today claim to be Christian do the same? Will Christians fail to respond to the coming revelation and hold back humanity from moving forward into the age of Aquarius? Will they fail to recognize the coming messenger? The reason the question comes to mind is in light of what is taking place in the world around us, especially in the United States (perhaps we can view the changing times here more than in any other nation). Movement is taking place toward a more universal spiritual view and away from an outdated orthodox and dogmatic religion. The Christian viewpoint and it's emphasis on church and the churches policies and ceremony is losing it's energy impress. The Piscean energy is passing on, and with it the momentum behind the religion. It is difficult to change. It is even harder to let go. When something is being taken away the age old response is to hang on even tighter. There has been a resurgence lately in things that are Christian, if that statement can be used. Everything from movies to political agendas. It is the last gasp of a dying age. And of course there is so much emotion involved! Pisces is a water sign which symbolizes the emotions. The present administration in the United States believes it has a clear mandate backed by Christian doctrine, whether that doctrine is accurate or not, or whether it is in the best interest of humanity or not. But let us not forget that nearly the same number of people in the United States voted against the present administration and it's policies. This division, as we all saw, was a sharply defined one! Old ways of thinking are being replaced by new and more inclusive thoughts. We have been living the Piscean era so we are very familiar with what has and is going on in the world. What can we look forward to in the new age - the age of Aquarius? Aquarius is an air sign (hence the difficulty of watery Piscean Christians to reconcile themselves to this change). Aquarius has to do with universality. It has to do with ending the cleavages of the ONE humanity and bringing together people in common bond. It has to do with demonstrated love and oneness. It will not be about the individual, the group becomes the focus of attention. It will not be about isolation or a 'going it alone' policy, it will be about inclusiveness, sharing, meeting others based on the common good of all. It will be about the new revelation, already taking place in the world - selflessly using God's will for the purpose and benefit of all life on the planet in all kingdoms. The energy is already streaming into humanity. It will aid in helping the human kingdom awake to new possibilities - it will direct us forward toward a more inclusive group consciousness. How is humanity as a whole going to respond to this new energy? Could it be that it will take more emphasis on war, death and the crucifixion, pain and suffering of the less fortunate, and more devastating 'natural disasters' to wake us up? Could it be that in the short term we need to experience more of these types of things before we open our eyes to life in all it's glory and beauty - to the resurrected life and not the one depicted at the crucifixion. A wonderful event happened for humanity 2000 years ago - a son of God revealed to us that there is life after death! He revealed to us that the materialistic nature has to die so that new spiritual life can manifest and demonstrate in all its fullness upon the physical plane. Why do we keep focusing on death instead of life? United cooperative goodwill can and will save the planet. Life will prevail! And as the age of Aquarius comes more into power we will see the end to some of the deplorable things still taking place or existing in this world. A quote below: "You may feel, though wrongly, that not enough people know about or understand the nature of the opportunity or what is transpiring. But the success of such a test is not dependent upon the esoteric knowledge of the few, the relatively very few, to whom the facts and the information have been partially imparted. It is dependent also upon the tendency of the many who unconsciously aspire towards the spiritual realities, who seek for a new and better way of life for all, who desire the good of the whole and whose longing and desire is for a true experience of goodness, of right human relations and of spiritual enterprise among men. Their name is legion and they are to be found in every nation." - The Externalisation of the
Hierarchy, p-362 by Alice A. Bailey |
"Be
of good cheer for there is no true defeat of the human spirit; there is
no final extinction of the divine in man, for divinity ever rises
triumphant from the darkest pit of hell. There is need however to
overcome the inertia of the material nature in response to human need,
individually and by the nations not engrossed with the essentials of the
situation. This shows signs of happening. There is no power on Earth
which can prevent the advance of man towards his destined goal and no
combination of powers can hold him back." |
