Silent
Communion (April 8, 2007)
With face
lifted upward in silent communion...
My emotion swells and fills that subtle body like an ever expanding
balloon. It wants to burst out into the light of day and
cause a stirring, a ripple effect if you will, to wake up people
everywhere. Wake up I want to shout! We the people have the power to
change this world! Wake up! Perhaps I am just too small
and nobody can hear me? I choose not to think that I am
insignificant and being ignored. I wish more people would listen,
if only for a moment...
In the past I tried to avoid using too much emotion in my requests and
appeals. After all we are supposed to be intelligent beings,
aren't we? But few responded - few chose to make the necessary
sacrifices and changes, at least from my perspective. Of
course, I could be wrong...again. My glasses used to be rose
colored, but that has changed over the years. In my more
youthful days I remember thinking how easy it would be to 'wake up'
people to the wondrous aspects of life - I mean 'real' life, not those
fanciful doctrines or unrealistic presentations of many groups and
organizations around the world. It was beyond my comprehension
that people in mass would willingly engage in war, unbridled greed,
and unspeakable crimes against children, as well as humanity in
general. Still, even though the news is filled with inhuman acts on a
daily basis, I believe in the innate kindness of people.
My heart has experienced that kindness in many countries, from all
walks of life. Goodwill is such a simple and powerful energy, I
couldn't imagine how anyone could not see and react positively to it? Well, I
was young.
Now that I am older, and hopefully wiser, I see humanity in a different light.
Are we on the verge of greatness and momentous re-orientation, or on a
path toward total destruction and annihilation? Actually, I
believe humanity is poised for a major revival - an upturn in
spiritual expression...provided we respond as a group to our higher
calling. As you can see I am still an optimist, even though I
have walked up some steep and difficult roads in this life. And
now that I think about it, and look ahead, the road I am standing on
still winds upward and then disappears around a sharp bend. I
admit I am a little tired and the road before me looks difficult to travel,
but seeing road ahead tells me there must still be work to do!
I understand that change is difficult - re-orientation is
painful and costly. Thoughts of giving up that which we have
always held dear can weaken even those of us with the strongest
resolve. But, if we can grasp only a tiny portion of man's future potential
we will know it is worth our time, effort, and
sacrifice to join in a global effort to right some of the wrongs we as
a group have committed. The prospect of humanity making
decisions based on the principle of Goodwill and cooperative sharing
is real, and worthy of our utmost support...people only need wake up to that
fact and act accordingly.
Today billions upon billions of U.S. dollars are being used for so
many wasted, unnecessary, or vastly overrated monetary endeavors.
I won't even bother to point some of them out they are so obvious and
numerous. Corporate greed has reached an unprecedented level.
And yet funding for the world-wide work of promoting Goodwill lags far
behind the desire existing to perform that work. If I had access
to only a fraction of that wasted money I believe miracles could be
performed in aiding the transformation and re-orientation of humanity
toward a more humane family. There are many other individuals
and groups working in the world today on behalf of promoting Goodwill
that would say the same. But alas, you well know I do not have access to the
millions necessary to perform my hearts desire. It is difficult,
at best, for people to donate or contribute money to an intangible
ideal such as the promoting of Goodwill. Money. I need it
to provide a living for my family. And yet the thought of
pursuing it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I feel my balloon
expanding ever more as I ponder this topic...I know you understand.
Today, Goodwill groups are
increasing in need of money. I want to ask everyone to wake up
and provide that which we need
to do that which we must. Humanity is the instrument whereby the planet will eventually sound
forth a harmonious note to the Universe. How may I do my part to
make this chord of music more pleasing to the highest reaches of
heaven?
I have deflated some now...at least for the time being.
I know you already know and understand - thanks for listening
anyway. I needed the outlet again today.
As ever,
Your outer insignificant physical expression.
Quote:
"When a man is under the control of physical, astral and mental forces, he is convinced at the time that they are, for him, right forces. Herein lies the problem of maya. Such forces, however, when they control a man, determine him in a separative attitude and produce an effect which feeds and stimulates the personality and does not bring in the energy of the soul, the true Individuality. This analysis should prove illuminating to you. If men and
women would bring their lives under a closer scrutiny by the true inner or spiritual man and could thus determine what combination of energies conditions their life activity, they would not continue to function—as they do now—so blindly, so inadequately and so ineffectually.
It is for this reason that the study and understanding of motives is of such value and importance, for such a study determines intellectually (if properly investigated) what factor or factors inspires the daily life. This is a statement worth careful consideration. I would ask you: What is your major actuating motive? For, whatever it may be, it conditions and determines your predominant life tendency.
Many people, particularly the unintelligent masses, are solely inspired by desire—material, physical and temporary. Animal desire for the satisfaction of the animal appetites, material desire for possession and for the luxuries of existence, the longing for "things," for comforts and for security—economic, social and religious—control the majority.
Others are motivated by some form of aspiration or ambition—aspiration towards some material heaven (and most religions portray heaven in this manner), ambitions for power, desire for the satisfaction of the emotional or aesthetic appetites and for the possession of the more subtle realities, and the longing for emotional comfort, for mental stability and assurance that the higher desires will meet with gratification."

"For obvious reasons, a vision of the Plan, nebulous as it must necessarily be, confers a sense of proportion and also of stability. It leads to a much-needed re-adjustment of values, indicating as it does, that there is
purpose and objective behind all the difficult happenings of daily life. It broadens and widens and expands the
consciousness..."
